Containment and mitigation from ransomware attacks

Cyber threats landscape continues to evolve, it is crucial for all of us to stay vigilant and proactive in safeguarding information asset. Ransomware is a type of malicious software that encrypts files on a victim's computer or network, rendering them inaccessible until a ransom is paid to the attacker.

PolyU Guest Authentication Service – new authentication platform for external guests

ITS is delighted to introduce a new authentication service called “PolyU Guest Authentication Service” specially designed for external users without a NetID. The new service offers a convenient way for the guests to access department-developed web applications without the hassle of managing individual local username/password for them.

October CLO meeting

Departmental Computer Liaison Officer (CLO) serves as a contact person between ITS and the department on IT related matters. CLO meeting is arranged regularly to communicate the latest University IT development and solicit feedback.

AWS DeepRacer Day for PolyU students

Over 30 students participated in the AWS DeepRacer Day to learn Machine Learning and applied such to DeepRacer model car competition on 28 August 2023.
