Prof. Eric Tsui receives the “Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Awards"
Representing the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre (KMIRC), Professor Eric Tsui from ISE was one of the recipients of the inaugural “Knowledge Management and Intellectual Capital Excellence Awards" hosted by Academic Conferencing and Publishing Inc (ACPI)" at the European Conference on Knowledge Management, 3-4th Sept, 2015 in Udine, Italy. After two vigorous rounds of shortlisting, eight finalists were selected from dozens of entrants worldwide including universities, research institutes, government departments, and individual knowledge professionals; three awards were conferred by the judging panel. Professor Eric Tsui's winning case was titled "Lessons Learnt from nearly two hundred cases of Knowledge Management journeys by Hong Kong and Asian enterprises". The impressive list of cases was made up of years of Final Year Projects, Consultancy projects and research projects carried out or supervised by KMIRC staff. Conferring the award, the judges commended the large scale, enduring and impactful efforts by the KMIRC, and Professor Tsui's excellent presentation. The other two awardees were Barry Byrne from the Irish Defence Force and Fabio Bastista from the Brazilian Economic Research Institute.
