Summary

Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (Sigma), founded in 1922 at Indiana University, is the second-largest nursing organization globally, with over 135,000 active members and 580+ chapters across 85+ countries, including Hong Kong. The Pi Iota Chapter, established in 2000 at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, evolved into the Pi Iota At-Large Chapter in 2021, uniting five Hong Kong institutions: Hong Kong Baptist University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, The University of Hong Kong, and Tung Wah College. Sigma Asia facilitates regional collaboration, hosting annual conferences to promote nursing scholarship, leadership, and innovation. The Pi Iota At-Large Chapter fosters excellence in nursing education and research in Hong Kong, aligning with Sigma’s mission to advance global health.
