Short Description

 
Dr. Yiyuan Zhang received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, and her ME and BE degrees both from China University of Geosciences. Dr. Zhang is currently an SHS Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to this, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. 

Her current research focuses mainly on the structuring of fluids, metamaterials, soft and smart manufacturing, and interfacial processes. Dr. Zhang’s work has been published in various prestigious journals including Science Advances, Nature Communications, Advanced Science, Research, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces. She is an active reviewer for top peer-reviewed journals like Nature Materials, Advanced Materials, and PNAS.
