PolyU Belt and Road Network Initiative Scheme
The PolyU Belt and Road Network Initiative Scheme aims to support PolyU Faculties/Schools/Departments in organising conferences, seminars and events that align with PolyU's strategic goals and brand-building objectives in the Belt and Road region. The Scheme will provide sponsorship on a dollar-to-dollar matching basis (i.e. $1 sponsorship for every 1$ of contributed by F/S/D) up to HK$200,000 per approved activity.
Applications for the 2026 Scheme have been closed.
(Endorsement from the department/school/faculty is required for each application. Each Faculty/School may nominate one application each year.)

The K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme
To foster academic exchanges between PolyU and higher education institutions in the Belt and Road, the K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme supports PolyU scholars in visiting the Belt and Road for academic exchanges. The Scheme provides up to ten fellowships each year to PolyU researchers/educators for undertaking research and educational activities in the Belt and Road. The duration of the visit is normally one to two weeks.
Applications for the 2026/27 Scheme are open until 26 June 2026.
