PolyU Belt and Road Network Initiative Scheme

The PolyU Belt and Road Network Initiative Scheme aims to support PolyU Faculties/Schools/Departments in organising conferences, seminars and events that align with PolyU's strategic goals and brand-building objectives in the Belt and Road region. The Scheme will provide sponsorship on a dollar-to-dollar matching basis (i.e. $1 sponsorship for every 1$ of contributed by F/S/D) up to HK$200,000 per approved activity.

Applications for the 2026 Scheme are open until 9 January 2026.

(The application documents are available for download via below links. Endorsement from the department/school/faculty is required for each application. Each Faculty/School may nominate one application each year.)

The K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme

To foster academic exchanges between PolyU and higher education institutions in the Belt and Road region, the K.C. Wong Belt and Road Visiting Fellowship Scheme supports PolyU academia to visit the Belt and Road countries for academic exchanges and education collaborations. The Scheme provides up to 10 fellowships each year to PolyU researchers/educators for undertaking research and educational activities in B&R countries. The duration of the visit is from 7 days to 2 weeks.

Applications for the 2025/26 Scheme are open until 20 June 2025.
