Australia is the world’s 13th largest economy and has the 10th highest per capita income. Around 30% of its population are immigrants, and the people there enjoy a high level of civil and economic liberties.

About 78% of the workforce in this country works in the trading and service sector, thus making it the main pillar of its economy. The business and finance, healthcare and social assistance services, on the other hand, contribute to the majority of the economic growth.

Application for International WIE is expected to open in October each year.

Eligibility:

Year 2 or above, full-time students of UGC-funded undergraduate degree programmes
Aged 18 or above with valid travel document
Excellent English communication and writing skills

Reference Companies and Job Descriptions:
After being nominated to our partnering organisation (The Bloom of Youth) and accepted into the Programme, candidates will be recommended to suitable companies based on your WIE requirements, skills and experiences. Below is a list of sample business sectors and job natures (non-exhaustive). Offer will be subject to employers’ discretion.

Location:	Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney
Duration:	(The Bloom of Youth) 31 May 2025 – 12 July 2025 (6 weeks) 12 July 2025 – 23 Aug 2025 (6 weeks)
Compensation:	Unpaid
Programme Fee:	HKD 38,300 (6 weeks) (Early bird deadline with HKD 3,500 discount: 30 Nov)
Inclusive items:	Accommodation (shared apartment/homestay/student residence), airport pick-up
Visa requirement:	Applicants must be eligible to work under Working Holiday Pass (417) or (462) and able to obtain the visa before departure Note: Students have to bear the cost of visa application
Financial assistance from GEO:	Offshore WIE Sponsorship (See guidelines)
