Academic award parchments will be issued twice a year.
  • For students with graduation status confirmed on or before 15 March, they will be regarded as graduates of Round One exercise and they will receive the academic award parchments in late March/early April with the award parchment dated 15 March of the year concerned.
  • For students with graduation status confirmed after 15 March and before 1 October, they will be regarded as graduates of Round Two exercise and they will receive their parchments in late October/early November with the award parchment dated 30 September of the year concerned.

You may visit our homepage for more updated information on the collection arrangement in early March or early October with reference to your graduation timeline.

By legitimacy, all academic awards are subject to formal conferment by the designated authority within the University.  Therefore, graduands could obtain their graduation award parchments only upon the start of the official collection period in respective round of exercise.  Any request for early collection of this important certification would not be entertained.

When your award parchment is pending for issuance, similar to other graduates in the past, you may consider making use of the official certifications like ‘Transcript of Studies’ or ‘Testimonial’ as proof of your academic attainments from PolyU.  For applications, please visit AR website > Graduates > Application Forms

Kindly note that you will be offered a complimentary copy of ‘Transcript of Studies’ in about a month after the announcement of your graduation status at eStudent.  If you have any enquiries about these official certifications, please contact your Faculty Office / SD / SFT / SHTM for assistance.

You are strongly advised to ensure the safe-keeping of your parchment. The University will under no circumstances issue any duplicate or replacement.

The University is not responsible for the safe custody of any uncollected parchments after the designated collection period and may destroy them without any further notice at the end of the following year. No replica nor replacement of your award parchment will be issued.

The University reserves the right to withhold the issuance (or retract) of an award parchment or any certification of study in case a student has unsettled matters with the University, or is subject to disciplinary action.
