Research Overview

The distinctive electronic properties of f-elements, particularly lanthanides, has enabled the design and development of advanced luminescent materials and molecular probes for cutting-edge imaging and sensing applications. Recent advancements on molecular f-element chemistry in our group has focus on the development of chiral supramolecular assemblies with unique topologies as well as chiral macrocyclic lanthanide complexes for circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) and multimodal imaging for diagnostics and theranostics.
