Research Assistant Professor

Research Overview

My research focuses on biochemical and structural studies of telomeric proteins to investigate the molecular mechanism of how telomere proteins regulate Variable Surface Glycoprotein (VSG) switching and maintain the telomere integrity and stability in Trypanosoma brucei.

Research Interests

  • VSG switching
  • telomeric proteins
  • structural biology

Achievements

  • Doctor of Philosophy, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
  • Master of Science, Jinan University (mainland of China)
  • Bachelor of Science, Hunan traditional Chinese medicine University (mainland of China)
