Project Title
Repeated Low-Level Red-Light Therapy for Retinal Diseases and Myopia

Synopsis

Photobiomodulation (PBM) using repeated low-level red-light (RLRL) therapy has emerged as a promising non-invasive approach for the treatment of ocular diseases. This research aims to investigate the therapeutic potential of RLRL in different ocular conditions, including myopia and age-related macular degeneration (AMD). Clinical studies will evaluate the efficacy and safety of RLRL therapy through comprehensive assessments of visual function and ocular structural changes. In parallel, mechanistic investigations will explore the biological effects of RLRL and identify potential pathways underlying its therapeutic effects. By integrating clinical and mechanistic evidence across different ocular diseases, this research seeks to advance the understanding of RLRL as a novel light-based therapeutic approach and provide evidence for its broader clinical application in ophthalmology.
