Green Living Programmes | Student Affairs Office

In alignment with the University’s goals for sustainability, we created a Living and Learning Community called “Green Living”. We are focusing our residential programmes around this theme to bring awareness to sustainability issues and equip residents to develop a greater sense of civic responsibility for the environment.

Green Living 2023 - 24

Low Carbon Cooking Workshop

Educated students about low-carbon living and sustainable cooking practices
Provided hands-on cooking demonstrations to showcase practical ways of reducing carbon footprint

Intercultural Veggie Carnival

Explored worldwide vegetarian cuisine while engaging in unique traditions and activities
Engaged in diverse cultures through food tasting and cultural experiences

Enviornmental Promotion Education Activities by EPDHK

Promotion & Education Activities by Environment Protection Department Hong Kong

Raised awareness about environmental protection and sustainability

Promoted eco-friendly practices and behaviours from daily routines

Urban Farming Workshop

Learned about local farming practices in Hong Kong and acquired knowledge of plant care

Planted vegetables and herbs within HH/HMT Hall, and experienced the farm-to-table process
