Got a bright business idea but need a little help to kick start your proposal? Eager to put your innovative plan into practice to do good to society? PolyU’s Micro Fund Scheme could be the answer for you.

Launched in 2011, the PolyU Micro Fund Scheme is the first funding initiative to cultivate an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit in the PolyU community and to promote knowledge transfer and commercialisation of PolyU’s innovations and technologies. The fund also exemplifies the University’s dedication to nurturing socially responsible young people with “Do Well, Do Good” entrepreneurship.

The 2021 round of the Scheme is now open for applications. A team with at least one student (full-time or part-time), alumnus/alumna or startup postdoc from PolyU, the Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) or The School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED) will be eligible to apply. Funding of up to HK$120,000 will be provided to each awarded start-up, alongside essential training and support throughout the incubation and acceleration stage, to help the teams make the best out of their entrepreneurial endeavours.
