PolyU Micro Fund

 
 
Established in 2011, the PolyU Micro Fund Scheme is a key initiative to promote student-driven startups as a way to facilitate knowledge transfer (KT). The Scheme aims to:
- Develop an innovative and "Do Well Do Good" entrepreneurial culture within the campus
- Nurture young students and graduates into socially responsible leaders and entrepreneurs through hands-on practices
- Facilitate KT of the University
 
Each approved application will be granted $120,000 as seed fund for the execution of the approved business plan. The Scheme also features other pre-incubation support like mentorship programmes, training workshops, bootcamps and study missions.
 
Overall Achievement of Awardees:
- Over 50% of awardees secured further incubation support
- Further investment and funding support of over $41 million
- 35+ awards secured, including international awards such as Red Dot Design Award Best of the Best 2013, Social Venture Competition Asia, etc.
