Summary

Attention to global warming has triggered a wave of decarbonization research and innovation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This presentation discusses data analytics methods and applications in conducting research for transport logistics decarbonization. It covers carbon capture, emission monitoring and prediction, and energy management with machine learning. The presentation also provides practical examples from Denmark and Singapore.

Professor Dr. Jasmine Siu Lee Lam is Maritime Chair Professor at the Technical University of Denmark. Leading an R&D team and working closely with industry and government agencies, Jasmine has completed over 85 technical/consultancy projects and published extensively in leading journals. Regarding professional leadership, she holds prestigious international appointments, such as Expert Advisor to governments, Steering Committee Member, Vice President, and Council Member of the International Association of Maritime Economists. She is honoured to be among the world’s top 0.2% of scientists according to a global list published by Stanford University. Furthermore, Jasmine is the recipient of many awards, including the National Day Award from the Prime Minister’s Office in Singapore, Erasmus Mundus Faculty Scholar Award awarded by the European Commission, Top Scholar Grand Award, and eight Best Paper Awards.
