Summary

This keynote presents a series of my research on how e-commerce logistics can move from isolated operational efficiency toward synchronized, AI-enabled fulfillment. Beginning with Warehouse Postponement Strategy, I explain how fragmented and irregular e-commerce orders can be grouped, predicted, and released through lightweight decision-support systems. It then extends the same postponement logic to last-mile delivery through Community Logistics, where delivery communities are dynamically formed by balancing time, space, capacity, and service promises. The talk further discusses how warehouse picking and outbound delivery can be synchronized through predictive and selective order-picking policies. Finally, the series is generalized into Total Fulfillment Management, a holistic framework for real-time synchronization across warehousing, transportation, inventory, and delivery operations. The keynote closes by outlining how AI, agentic AI, digital twins, and cyber-physical systems can make full TFM execution possible.
