Academic Staff

Prof. Jiang received his Ph.D. from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2014 and his B.Eng. from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2010. Before joining PolyU, Prof. Jiang held senior management positions in the research departments of companies such as WeBank, Baidu, and Yahoo. Prof. Jiang authored two academic books and holds more than fifty patents. His research work has been recognized with multiple academic and industrial awards, such as the CCF Science and Technology Award, the Yahoo TechPulse Best Paper Award, and the DASFAA Best Paper Award Runner-up. His research findings have been applied in a wide range of internet products that reach hundreds of millions of users. He serves as a council member of the Guangdong Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Society and as a committee member of the Chinese Association for Artificial Intelligence. His research interests span speech processing, natural language processing, and federated learning, with applications in high-impact domains such as FinTech, elderly care, and longevity medicine.
