Visit - Santa Laurensia High School

On 13 February 2025, we welcomed 20 students from Santa Laurensia High School in Indonesia for an engaging campus visit.

The visit began with a programme talk by Prof. YIU Man Lung Ken, Professor and Associate Head (Teaching and Learning), who introduced the department’s academic offerings, learning environment, and student opportunities.

As part of the engagement, students watched a video sharing by Dominicus Dylan HARYOTO, an Indonesian Year 3 student studying BSc (Hons) in Computer Science, who reflected on his journey at PolyU—why he chose the programme, how university life in Hong Kong differs from Indonesia, and his enriching experiences, including participation in an exchange programme. He encouraged the visiting students to explore their interests and find the path that suits them best.

The visit continued with a tour of COMP’s facilities, including the Game Lab and the Research Centre for Data Science and AI (RC-DSAI), where students gained firsthand exposure to cutting-edge research and interactive learning spaces.
