Capstone Project Seminar: Tips on Final Presentation, Project Selection & Scholarship Opportunities
On 15 April 2025, COMP held a Capstone Project Seminar for Year 3 and Year 4 undergraduate students. The seminar aimed to prepare students with guidance on capstone project selection, presentation skills, and career development in the IT industry.
Prof. LI Jing Amelia, Associate Professor of COMP, shared expert tips on selecting impactful Capstone Projects and delivering well-organised and compelling final presentations. She emphasised the importance of aligning projects with real-world problems and showcasing innovation and technical depth.
Mr Edwin TAM, Managing Director of InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited, were invited to share the corporate perspectives on the rapidly changing IT job market. He highlighted the key skills in demand—such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and AI proficiency—and encouraged students to remain agile and proactive in their career planning.
Mr TAM also introduced the InfoTech Job Market Driven Scholarship, which awards HK$12,000 to two outstanding students selected for their exceptional performance in the Best Project Competition held on 7 June 2025. The list of awardees can be found here.
