The PolyU Info Day, held on 27 September 2025, was a resounding success, attracting over 43,000 secondary school students, parents, and individuals eager to learn more about further studies and the University’s latest admissions and programme offerings.

Our department played an active role in the event, offering a variety of engaging activities designed to connect with prospective students and their families. At our interactive booth, visitors had the opportunity to meet programme leaders and teaching staff, ask questions, and gain valuable insights into our academic community.

To provide detailed and firsthand information about each programme’s admission figures, requirements, and distinctive features, COMP arranged individual Info Seminars for our programmes. The seminars were delivered by Prof. YIU Man Lung Ken, Scheme Leader, Professor and Associate Head (Teaching and Learning), who shared valuable insights and answered questions from the audience. These sessions were well-received, with over 500 participants attending and engaging in lively discussions with our faculty.

A highlight of this year’s Info Day was the in-depth guided tours. Around 150 participants joined these tours, which offered an exclusive look at the department’s state-of-the-art facilities. Visitors explored the innovative AI Coffee System, experienced the immersive CAVE system project, and visited the game lab. They also had the opportunity to view cutting-edge projects developed by our MSc students in Metaverse Technology.

We thank all participants for their enthusiastic involvement and look forward to welcoming new faces to our academic community in the coming year.
