HKUST-GZ Delegation Visits COMP for Academic Exchange and Lab Tours

On 11 August 2025, COMP was pleased to welcome a delegation from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) (HKUST (GZ)), led by Prof. CHEN Lei, Chair Professor in the Data Science and Analytics Thrust and Artificial Intelligence Thrust at HKUST(GZ). The group, comprising around 30 undergraduate students and faculty members, visited COMP for a day of academic exchange and exploration.

 The visit began with a warm welcome from Prof. LI Qing, Chair Professor of Data Science and Head of COMP. This was followed by presentations from COMP faculty members, including Prof. Allen Au, Prof. Huang Xiao, Prof. Shi Jieming, Dr Li Haoyang, Dr Wang Xiangmeng, and Dr Alexander Zhou, who shared their latest research and ongoing projects.

The delegation then toured several of COMP’s state-of-the-art laboratories, including the RI-AIoT Lab, RC-DSAI Lab, and Game Lab. During the lab visits, students and faculty had the opportunity to experience live demonstrations and engage in discussions with researchers, gaining valuable insights into the innovative work being conducted at COMP.
