Dalian University of Technology School of Computer Science Visits COMP for Academic Exchange

On 27 August 2025, COMP was delighted to host a delegation from the School of Computer Science and Technology at Dalian University of Technology (DUT). The visit provided a valuable platform for academic exchange and career development, with activities running in two parallel sessions.

In the first session, around 15 DUT undergraduate students attended an introduction to COMP’s PhD and MSc programmes. The session also featured a sharing by a current COMP PhD student, who offered insights into his study experience at PolyU. The students then had the opportunity to tour our research laboratories and learn more about the innovative work being conducted at COMP.

Simultaneously, a networking session was held for COMP senior PhD students and postdoctoral researchers interested in academic careers. Faculty members from DUT’s School of Computer Science introduced faculty openings and career paths at DUT, providing valuable information for those considering future opportunities. The session also included research sharing from both PolyU-COMP and DUT-CS PhD students, fostering academic dialogue and potential collaborations.

The visit strengthened the ties between COMP and DUT, and we look forward to further exchanges and joint initiatives in the future.
