It is my honour to receive the CEE Entry Scholarship for Outstanding HKDSE Students and to be recognised as one of the top three performing students this year. This award is not only a recognition of my efforts during my secondary school years, but also a great encouragement as I embark on my university journey.

Housing, and transportation are two basic necessities of life closely related to civil engineering, which is the main reason for me to chosethis subject. I want to put my effort into the construction of housing in Hong Kong, aiming to prevent accidents similar to what happened at Wang Fuk Court due to the use of non-fire-retardant scaffolding net and styrofoam. I sincerely hope that my effort can create a positive impact on society through sustainable infrastructure and environmental solutions. 

During my JUPAS selection process, my academic interest and career aspiration were the major factors of consideration. The CEE programme at PolyU stood out to me because it ranks first in the QS World University Ranking in Hong Kong in 2024.

Adapting to university life has been both exciting and challenging. With the support from CEE, the guidance from professors and the engagement from friends, I have been able to overcome the difficulties.

Thank you for this recognition once again. I am motivated to make the most of my time at CEE and to give back to the community in the future.
