CEE Inspires Young Minds with Educational Visits

CEE welcomed over 40 enthusiastic primary students from Chung Sing College and Marymount Primary School on 20 February 2024 and 6 March 2024 respectively for two engaging departmental visits. These visits aimed to ignite a passion for environmental protection in the young minds and to fuel their imagination when discovering the exciting world of civil engineering.

The students enjoyed a diverse programme that included an inspiring lecture on air pollution and low carbon life that shed light on the importance of sustainability in today's world. They also had the opportunity to visit the Air Pollution Laboratory, where they participated in the "Gas Pollutant Measurement for Incense Burning" experiment, gaining hands-on experience in environmental monitoring. The students also had the chance to get creative and build their own air purifiers during the Air Purifier Model DIY workshop. These activities not only fostered their interest in civil engineering but also empowered them to take practical steps towards creating cleaner and healthier environments.

CEE is dedicated to nurturing young talents from their school age, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to make a positive impact on the world. With the support of the Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) on CEE’s Clean Air Education Programme, CEE is able to raise awareness and inspire the next generation to protect the environment and building a sustainable future together.
