In Hong Kong, some tram stops do not have pedestrian refuge. Passengers must get on and off the trams in the middle of traffic. Safe and accessible tram stop design is a major concern. The discussion covered the road safety issues, from the viewpoints of drivers, passengers and professionals, particularly effective measures that can reduce the risk.
