In late September, members of the PolyU community, led by Dr Miranda Lou, Executive Vice President, joined hands with representatives from nine mainland alumni networks and alumni from Sichuan to gather in Chengdu to witness the inauguration of the PolyU Sichuan Alumni Network.

Dr Lou emphasised the significance of fostering strong communication and collaboration between the University and its alumni. PolyU is actively pursuing the establishment of research institutes and aims to leverage the support of its alumni networks to transfer research outcomes into applications for the betterment of society.

During the visit, a symposium was organised by PolyU Mainland alumni, where Dr Lou expressed heartfelt gratitude to all alumni networks and their alumni for their invaluable contributions. The establishment of the Sichuan Alumni Network further reinforces the strength of the PolyU Mainland alumni network. Dr Lou envisions this united force of alumni working together to promote the development of Mainland alumni activities.
