As one of its ongoing societal commitments, the PolyU Student Affairs Office co-organised the University Blood Donation Marathon 2023/24 @PolyU. Co-organised with the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service and held between 4 and 6 October, the three-day event drew enthusiastic support from the PolyU community, witnessing 294 students and staff donating 237 units of blood, with 105 being first-time donors.

In appreciation of the young blood donors who had donated at least three times before their 26th birthday, at the award presentation on 4 October, 60 students were granted the Young Donor Award by Dr Lee Cheuk-kwong, Chief Executive and Medical Director at the Hong Kong Red Cross Blood Transfusion Service, and Prof. Ben Young, Vice President (Students and Global Affairs) of PolyU.
