CNN exclusive: PolyU-nurtured startup harnesses AI algorithm for search and rescue
Josua Chan and Max Lee, co-founders of a PolyU-nurtured startup LifeSparrow Solutions, were interviewed by CNN about their advanced search and rescue technology. Respectively a graduate and PhD student of the Department of Aeronautical and Aviation Engineering, the pair partnered with the Fire Services Department to develop an AI algorithm that uses images from drones to locate missing individuals lost in remote and complex terrains.
