Technical Visit to THEi Chai Wan Campus

The visit will cover 3 centers:

1. EFC Hydrogen Energy Education Center is the first of its kind in the Greater Bay Area to promote public understanding and safe adoption of hydrogen technologies to the public. The Centre focuses on education, innovation, community engagement and workforce transformation development, thereby cultivating talents and driving local hydrogen application trials.
2. Wu Jieh Yee Arboriculture Education and Research Center in both arboriculture and Chinese medicine.
3. Hydrofarm Technology Hydroponic Research Center focuses in hydroponic agriculture and to upskill technical knowledge for improving the quality and variety of hydroponic crops with the new farming technology.

On 18 July 2026, we have a technical visit to TheI Chai Wan Campus,  we had totally 15 persons participates joining this event. We first visited EFC Hydrogen Energy Education Center in Hong Kong. The center is used to promote public understanding and safe adoption of hydrogen technologies to the public. The Centre focuses on education, innovation, community engagement and workforce transformation development, thereby cultivating talents and driving local hydrogen application trials. There is a demo showing how hydrogen is created by water and how it is converted to energy.

After that we went to Hydro farm Technology Hydroponic Research Center that was not in operation at that time, the staff introduced to us that it was a funded project to develop better ways of using water instead of soil as a media for agriculture.

We then went to Wu Jieh Yee Arboricuture Education and Research Centre; it is the first indoor arboriculture Centre for learning how to climb and cut trees.

We had a group photo and souvenir presentation in the library. The library is equiped with gaming location where students can learn flight simulation and car riding. The library also have a lot of sofa for relaxing giving us a different experience compared with other libraries. We ended our visit with half an hour overrun, everyone had enjoyed the visit.
