Biography
Short Description
His research aims to see, understand, predict, and design the behavior of structural materials under extreme loading conditions (such as impact, shock and blast), through a combination of experiments, physics-based theoretical and computational modeling, artificial intelligence, and additive manufacturing. His goal is to ensure the success and safety of real-world applications in critical sectors where extreme loading scenarios prevail, such defense, energy, and space.
Please reach out to Dr Yang for fully funded PhD and RA opportunities. Note that the PhD candidate will be mainly supervised by Prof. YW MAI.
