Flight Mechanics and Control

a1137_2050x500

The Flight Mechanics and Control team explores a diverse range of topics with a variety of approaches, all surrounding dynamic behavior and automatic control of flight vehicles. We are targeting on establishing new theoretical results, defining new computational algorithms, performing unique analysis and experiments, and creating technology that changes engineering practice.

Key Research Areas:

  1. Flight dynamics

  2. Unmanned aerial vehicle design

  3. Spatial perception for autonomous systems

  4. Simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM)

  5. Autonomous unmanned aerial manipulation

  6. Advanced control theory and methods

  7. Coordination of multi-agent systems
