We are pleased to announce that Prof Liu Liang, Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), has been elected as a member of the Young Member Section (YMS) of the Hong Kong Academy of Engineering (HKAE).
The YMS is a platform established by the HKAE to recognize and support outstanding engineering professionals under the age of 45 who have made significant contributions to the advancement of science and technology in Hong Kong. The section focuses on fostering professional growth, promoting innovation, and facilitating translational research.
Prof Liu’s research focuses on wireless communications and networking, advanced signal processing and optimization techniques, and Internet-of-Things (IoT). His research excellence has been recognised through multiple IEEE best paper awards, distinction as IEEE Fellow and Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher, and key editorial and lecturing roles within the IEEE.
