Prof. Chung Chi-Yung Elected as President of IEEE PES Governing Board 2026
- Recently, IEEE PES announced its 2026 Governing Board, with our Department Head, Prof. C.Y. Chung, serving as IEEE PES President, after his 2024-2025 term as President-Elect.
- Prof. Chung is the first non–North American President of IEEE PES in its 140-year history, marking a significant milestone in the global power and energy community and underscoring the growing influence of Asia in shaping the future of the grid.
- As President, he will chair the inaugural 2026 IEEE PES International Meeting, to be held from 18–21 January 2026 in Hong Kong, bring world-leading experts together to advance resilient and sustainable power and energy systems
