EIE High Table Dinner

The EIE High Table Dinner was organized by the Department for our undergraduate students in the PolyU Communal Staff Restaurant on 6 January 2023. It aims to provide a unique platform for students, academic staff, alumni and industrialists to network with one another. About 60 students, alumni and staff members joined the dinner to mingle during the event. Two of our distinguished alumni, Ir Sheldon Yau, Head of Wireless & Core Network Engineering of Hong Kong Telecom / PCCW, and Mr Elvis Yan, Chief Marketing Officer of United Asia Finance Limited, were also invited to share about the latest development of the industry, their experiences in study and career development in the ICT sector with the participants in this occasion.

AAEIE AGM cum Alumni Gathering 2022

The Alumni Association of Department of Electronic and Information Engineering (AAEIE) hosted the AAEIE Annual General Meeting cum Alumni Gathering 2022 in the PolyU Communal Staff Restaurant on 2 December 2022. More than 30 alumni and professors participated in the gathering and enjoyed this evening very much for the reunion. Mr Dominic Tse, the Chairman of AAEIE, presented the Association’s annual activities and financial report during the AGM. PolyU 85th Anniversary Alumni Reception cum EE Outstanding Alumni Award Presentation Ceremony

The PolyU 85th anniversary reception and EE Departmental outstanding alumni award presentation ceremony was successfully held recently.  Different generations of alumni gathered together and shared their fond memories of EE.  We took this precious moment to present our two Outstanding Alumni: Ir Wong Ka Wo (awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award in Professional Achievement); and Dr Li Siyang (awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Award in Entrepreneurial Achievement). The Department has nurtured countless talents over the years.  We all wish that our alumni could form a strong and professional expertise in electrical engineering and they could have a bright careers in the future.  The Department will meet organize more events of this kind to meet our alumni.
