Biography
Yuanqing Zheng is Professor in the Department of Computing, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He joined the same department as an Assistant Professor in 2014, and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2020. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He received the B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and the M.E. degree in Communication and Information System both from Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China.
Prof. Zheng’s research interests include Internet of Things (IoT), Wireless Networking, Ubiquitous Computing, and Efficient AI. He has published over 110 papers in top academic conferences and journals such as ACM SIGCOMM, MobiCom, MobiSys, SenSys, CCS, IEEE INFOCOM, ICNP, ICDCS, and IEEE TMC, IEEE TON, IEEE TDSC, ACM TOSN, and ACM IMWUT. Prof. Zheng has received awards such as Best Paper Award in IEEE INFOCOM 2020 and Test of Time Award in ACM SenSys 2022.
Prof. Zheng is/was on the editorial board of Proceedings of the ACM on Interactive, Mobile, Wearable and Ubiquitous Technologies (ACM IMWUT), ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks (ACM TOSN), IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (IEEE TWC), and Computer Networks. He served on the Technical Program Committees (TPC) of top conferences such as ACM SIGCOMM, MobiCom, MobiSys, SenSys, and IEEE INFOCOM. Prof. Zheng served as a Panel Member for Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications (HKCAAVQ). Prof. Zheng served in Membership Committee for Hong Kong Computer Society (HKCS). He is a RGC Research Fellow, a Full Member of HKCS, a Senior Member of IEEE and a Senior Member of ACM.
