COMP Retreat 2026

The COMP Retreat 2026 was successfully held on 6 July at the InterContinental Shenzhen, serving as an invaluable platform for faculty and management members to align on strategic goals and discuss future directions for the department.

The event began with updates on departmental developments shared by management members, highlighting COMP's academic achievements and strategic progress over the past year. This year's retreat placed a special focus on enhancing student development through discussions on Experiential Learning and Industrial Experience, exploring new ways to integrate real-world industry practices into the curriculum.

Another major highlight of the retreat was the sharing of success stories from recipients of the RAISE+ Scheme funding. Prof. Hongxia Yang and Prof. Allen Au shared their valuable experiences and insights on securing this prestigious support, inspiring colleagues to continue driving impactful research and translating academic innovations into practical industry solutions. The fruitful retreat concluded with a collective commitment to further elevate COMP’s research excellence and student learning experiences in the coming academic year.
