Founded as the student branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the oldest and most prestigious global professional body for civil engineers, established in 1852, our PolyU ASCE Student Chapter is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of civil engineering leaders. We connect over 140,000 ASCE professionals across 159 countries, turning global expertise into local opportunity for every CEE student.

What We Do

• ASCE Greater China Paper Competition (hosted by top member universities in turns): The opportunity to work alongside faculty mentors to conduct research, create ideas, and publish technical papers, with the chance to deliver the presentation at the host universities.
• Industry Engagement: Join field trips to real projects, gain industrial insights through tech talks with leading industry experts. 
• Community & Support: Build the peer-led study groups. Create a supportive environment to share resources, get advice from senior students, and collaborate on coursework.
• Fun & Friendship: Participate in interactive challenges and fun activities, from campus adventures to city explorations, we balance hard work with joy.
