Professor Jiang Liming

Associate Head (Partnership) and Associate Professor

Biography

Dr JIANG Liming is Associate Professor (with tenure) and Associate Head (Partnership) of The Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering in The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. His research focuses on building fire safety as well as construction automation, and he is the key developer and manager of OpenSees for fire. He served in multiple committees including local committees of Building Department, Education Committee of IAFSS, Fire and Life Safety Committee of CTBUH. He is the co-chair of 12th international conference on structures in fire and vice-director of International Joint Research Laboratory on smart fire safety engineering based in Tongji University. His research and development on “active opening for fire spread mitigation” has won Philip Thomas Medal of Excellence from IAFSS and Innovation Award of Excellence from CVU.

江黎明博士是香港理工大學建築環境及能源工程學系副教授及副系主任。他的研究主要關注建築火災安全及自動化建造, 他是OpenSees for fire結構抗火開源模擬軟件的主要開發者及管理者。他擔任多個委員會委員,包括香港屋宇署的3個消防相關委員會、國際火災安全科學學會教育委員會,高層建築及人居協會火災與人員安全委員會。他是第十二屆國際結構抗火大會組委會共同主席,亦是國際智能火災安全工程聯合研究中心副主任。他在“主動開窗控火機制”的創新研究獲得了國際火災安全科學學會的Philip Thomas獎章和世界垂直城市學會創新獎。
