Bachelor’s Degree Scheme (BDS) students can explore various disciplines before choosing a Major after their first year of study. After completing the Faculty Common First-Year Curriculum (FCFC), students must prioritise all available departmental scheme/stand-alone programme choices for an iteration process that will place them into a specific departmental scheme or stand-alone programme (refer to as “scheme/programme” hereafter). Once iteration results are confirmed, students may:
  • Choose a Major (mandatory for and exclusive to students in departmental schemes).
  • Choose a Secondary Major (which may be mandatory or optional, depending on the confirmed Major).
  • Choose a Minor (optional).
  • Join a Fast-track Programme (optional).

Students who study in any of the following programmes are considered BDS students:

  • Faculty of Business (FB)
Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Business Administration (Programme Code: 02426)
  • Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences (FCMS)
Bachelor’s Degree Scheme in Computer and Mathematical Sciences (Programme Code: 09401)
  • Faculty of Construction and Environment (FCE)

  • Faculty of Humanities (FH)
