Biography
Dr WONG's research lies at the intersection of clinical and health psychology. His work focuses on the application of the lifestyle medicine approach to mental health across both clinical and non-clinical populations (e.g., youth and migrant workers), the development and evaluation of scalable mental healthcare service models (e.g., the stepped care model) for common mental disorders, and the use of digital technologies for mental health promotion and intervention.
His research has been published in leading international journals, including the Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, the Journal of Affective Disorders, Behaviour Research and Therapy, Scientific Reports, and General Hospital Psychiatry.
As a Board-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Professional with the International Board of Lifestyle Medicine, Dr WONG was invited by researchers at the NICM Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University, to serve on a panel of leading international experts advising on lifestyle medicine interventions in psychiatric hospital settings.
