Joint Research Lab Exhibition

The Joint Research Lab Exhibition celebrates the power of collaboration in advancing design research and innovation. Bringing together PolyU Design researchers and leading academic, industry and community partners, the exhibition showcases how cross-disciplinary partnerships generate new knowledge, technologies and approaches to address complex societal challenges.

Featuring projects from five joint research laboratories, the exhibition highlights collaborative work spanning age-friendly design, artificial intelligence, spatial augmented reality, embodied interaction, service innovation and social robotics. Each lab serves as a platform where experts from diverse fields combine their perspectives and expertise to develop impactful solutions that improve wellbeing, enhance human experiences and create positive social change.

Through research prototypes, case studies and emerging applications, visitors will gain insight into how strategic partnerships extend the reach of design beyond traditional boundaries. The exhibition demonstrates how collaboration acts as a catalyst for innovation, transforming research into meaningful outcomes that address real-world needs and shape a more inclusive, sustainable and technologically connected future.
