Mr WANG Shihao, PhD student from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at PolyU, clinched the Best Postgraduate Poster Presentation Award at the 7th Conference on Environment Health Risk and Control of New Pollutants held in Nanjing, Mainland China, in March 2025.

Mr WANG was supervised by Prof. JIN Ling, Assistant Professor in the same department. His winning presentation, titled "Identification of pathway-perturbing toxicants in PM2.5," showcased his exceptional research contributions and commitment to addressing critical environmental challenges.

Organised by Nanjing University, the conference aimed to foster collaborative innovation in the field of environmental health risk prevention and control of emerging pollutants, with green alternative technologies also promoted. It brought together experts and scholars to discuss various themes, including exposure identification and monitoring of pollutants, environmental behaviour and exposure assessment, toxicological effects and mechanisms, risk monitoring and assessment, health effects and risk management, and degradation and prevention technologies. It also provided a valuable platform for postgraduate students to learn, exchange ideas and showcase their research through a postgraduate poster exhibition.
