With an annual funding support amounted to HK$8 million from Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) under Technology Start-up Support Scheme for Universities (TSSSU), the HK$3M Fund aims to accelerate the growth of high potential technology start-ups founded by PolyU students, graduates and professors, offering maximum matching fund up to HK$1.5 million for start-ups with PolyU technology.
Eligibility:
- A start-up company or a team of at least two members, in which one PolyU member must be appointed as the Person-in-Charge
- The start-up company or team must be in/graduated from qualified pre-incubation/incubation/acceleration programs; OR commercialising PolyU technology;
- For a company, upon 1 Feb 2024, it must be registered not more than 7 years
- The start-up company or team must have secured at least HK$1M private investment
Funding Amount:
HK$1.5M secured private investment + Up to HK$1.5M dollar-to-dollar matching grant + top-up investment by PolyU (Optional)

Application Process:
The applicants should complete the online application and upload the following documents on or before the application deadline:
- Investment Pitch Deck (within 15 slides in PDF format)
- YouTube link of a 3-minute Pitching Video
- CI, BR and Shareholding Structure Proof
- Proof of Private Investment (Investment Agreement/Term Sheet)
- Declaration of "Use of PolyU Knowledge/Innovations/Technologies" duly signed/endorsed by PolyU academic staff, if applicable. (Available under the section "Download Area")
