Brief Biosketch
Dr. ZHANG Li is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Prior to joining PolyU, he worked as a research fellow in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore. He received the bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering from Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, in 2018, and the Ph.D. degree in Traffic Control and Information Engineering from Beihang University, Beijing, China, in 2024. Dr ZHANG’s research expertise and interests mainly lie in the design and implementation of methods that combine optimization and reinforcement learning for solving problems arising in transportation and logistics, especially in resilient public transportation system, ridesharing system, and low-altitude air mobility. His work has been published in the leading international journals, including Transportation Research Part A/B/C/D/E, Omega, and IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation Systems.
