ISE Entry Scholarships for Outstanding HKDSE Students

In addition to the Undergraduate Scholarships given to outstanding HKDSE students (please refer to Undergraduate Admissions for eligibility), an Entry Scholarship from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) will be granted if the admittee fulfills any of the tiers below:

1	Level 5** in 1 subject	One-off scholarship of HK$20,000 when the student is admitted to our programme and the University will also award an additional HK$30,000 exchange scholarship to encourage participation in student exchange programme
2	Level 5* in 1 subject or above; OR Level 5 in 2 subjects or above	One-off scholarship of HK$15,000 when the student is admitted to our programme and an additional HK$15,000 if the student has achieved a GPA of 3.1 or above in the 2nd semester of year 1

^ The Extended Mathematics modules will also be taken into account for scholarship consideration

 

How to apply for the Entry Scholarships?

There is no need for students to apply separately for entry scholarships. The Department will identify outstanding admittees, and notify them of the award, after the commencement of the academic year.

 

Who is eligible?

You are a current year Secondary Six local student taking the HKDSE at your first attempt, meet the University’s General Entrance Requirement for admission to our undergraduate programmes via JUPAS will be considered for the ISE Entry Scholarships.

 

Remarks:

• Students who meet the requirement for both tiers will receive the scholarship ONCE for whichever tier of higher value, and capped at the maximum amount received by a student per academic year as stipulated by the University guideline

• A student can concurrently hold more than one scholarship administered by the University in an academic year if the total value of scholarships received by him/her does not exceed his/her annual tuition fee payable plus HK$50,000 unless otherwise stipulated
• For the purpose of calculating the admission scores, HKDSE level attainments will be converted to level points where Level 5**=8.5, 5*=7, 5=5.5, 4=4, 3=3, 2=2, 1=1 and Unclassified=0.

ISE Entry Scholarship for Non-JUPAS Admissions

Starting from 2023/24 admission, an Entry Scholarship from the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) will be granted if the Non-JUPAS intake student fulfills the following requirement: 

Requirement and Scholarship Amount

(Top-up programme) BSc (Hons) in Aviation Operations and Systems (Senior Year) BEng (Hons) in Industrial and Systems Engineering BEng (Hons) in Product Engineering with Marketing BSc (Hons) in Logistics Engineering with Management BSc (Hons) in Enterprise Engineering with Management	One-off scholarship of HK$15,000 when the non-JUPAS in-take student is admitted to the programmes listed on the left with GPA of 3.5 or above, and an additional HK$15,000 if the student has achieved a GPA of 3.2 or above in the 2nd semester of year 1.
(Year 1) BEng (Hons) Scheme in Product Innovation and Smart Manufacturing (PISM Scheme) BSc (Hons) Scheme in Intelligent Supply Chain and Engineering Management (ISCEM Scheme)	One-off scholarship of HK$15,000 when the non-JUPAS in-take student is admitted to the PISM/ISCEM Schemes (Year 1) with GPA of 3.2 or above, and an additional HK$15,000 if the student has achieved a GPA of 3.2 or above in the 2nd semester of year 1

An Associate Degree or Higher Diploma holder admitted to the programme/scheme will be considered.
