Dr Ng is a Legislative Council Member of the HKSAR representing the Accountancy Functional Constituency. As a practising Fellow Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser, founder of Webster Ng & Co, Managing Director of AC CPA Limited and Senior Partner of Uniontax (Shenzhen) International Tax Agent Firm Co. Ltd, Dr Ng brings extensive expertise in accounting, taxation, corporate governance, and professional advisory to his legislative role.

Dr Ng has served on Election Committee (Accountancy) and as an Advisory Committee Member of AFRC, Past President and Council Member of SCAA, Past President and Advisor of TIHK. His public service includes membership of the Competition Commission and Housing Authority, Non-Executive Director of eMPF Platform, member of the Advisory Committee on Tax Policy and Securities and Futures Appeals Tribunal, and Honorary Treasurer of Social Workers Registration Board. Dr Ng was commended as Distinguished Service for Community Building Awardee in 2018 and appointed as Justice of the Peace in 2022.

Dr Ng serves as Honorary Council Member of CCTAA, Research Committee Member of the China International Taxation Research Institute, and Accounting Consultant of the Department of Finance of Guangdong Province. He has held various positions in accountancy sectors, including member of Small and Medium Practices Committee of HKICPA and SME committee of ACCA. These appointments reflect his continued commitment to fostering professional integration between Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland.

Dr Ng maintains a deep connection with PolyU by establishing the Webster Ng Scholarship, serving as guest speaker and mentor for the Faculty of Business, and as a DBA graduate who embodies the Faculty's mission of nurturing scholar-leaders that bridge rigorous inquiry with professional practice.
