2021/22 Dean's List Criteria

Students who are ranked top 10% by year GPA of the total student population across all undergraduate programmes in the Faculty and have obtained a year GPA of at least 3.50 in an academic year of study, including Summer Term, if any, will be on the List regardless of their programme and year;

The minimum number of credits taken, i.e. excluding any credits transferred other than those from approved student exchange programmes, for the academic year concerned is required to be 27 credits. In the case of participation in approved student exchange programmes, at least 15 credits out of the required 27 credits should be taken in PolyU during the academic year concerned. The credits taken in PolyU that do not carry grade points (e.g. WIE) are not counted;

Credits successfully earned from approved student exchange programmes during the academic year concerned will be counted towards the required number of credits taken for the academic year concerned, regardless of the academic year in which the credits are transferred and recorded on the Transcript of Studies / eStudent;

Final year students having a year GPA of at least 3.50 and Second Class Honours (Division 1) award or above will be included on the Dean's List, regardless of their number of credits taken in the final year; and

Students who have been involved in disciplinary action during the academic year concerned will not be eligible for the Dean's List.
