Haos Research in Nature Communications

PolyU Science Research on Ferroelectricity was published in Nature Communications

The research conducted by Prof. Hao Jianhua, Chair Professor of Materials Physics and Devices in the Department of Applied Physics, and Weng Fu Io, a research student from his group, was published in Nature Communications. The title of the research is "Direct Observation of Intrinsic Room-Temperature Ferroelectricity in 2D Layered CuCrP₂S₆". Their research studies the robust out-of-plane ferroelectricity in two-dimensional layered CuCrP₂S₆ at room temperature down to 2.6 nm, which is a potential candidate for realizing low-dimensional multiferroicity. Throughout this study, the origin of the robust ferroelectric behaviors at atomic perspective is revealed. Nature Communications is one of the world’s top journals that publishes high-quality research articles across various disciplines in the natural sciences. The journal is known for its rigorous peer-review process and its commitment to publishing significant and impactful research. To read the article in Nature Communications, please visit here.
