Hong Kong Genome Institute Prize

 

Objectives

To advance research and nurture talents in the field of medical laboratory science and genetic counselling.

 

Eligibility

1. Hong Kong Genome Institute Prize for MSc in Medical Laboratory Science (Molecular Diagnostics)

Student of MSc in Medical Laboratory Science (Molecular Diagnostics) who achieves the highest award GPA at a minimum of 3.6 or above


2. Hong Kong Genome Institute Prize for MSc in Medical Data Science

Student of MSc in Medical Data Science who achieves the highest award GPA at a minimum of 3.6 or above and has taken at least two of the following elective subjects:

  • Molecular Technology in Clinical Laboratory (HTI5603)
  • Clinical Applications of Molecular Diagnostics in Healthcare (HTI5620)
  • Workshops on Advanced Molecular Diagnostic Technology (HTI5621)
  • Genomic Technology and Functional Genomics (HTI5805)

 

Prize Amount

The prize is donated by the Hong Kong Genome Institute. Each awardee will receive a cash prize of HK$5,000. One prize will be awarded for each of the two MSc programmes.

 

Condition for Award

The awardee must attend the HTI Graduation Ceremony (generally held in November) to receive the prize.

 

Application Procedures

Application is not required. Invitations will be sent to eligible students. Nominees are required to submit the nomination form and CV by the stated deadline.
