PolyU EEE Visit

Dear Secondary School Principals and Teachers,

The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) at PolyU invites you and your S4-S6 students to experience world-class engineering facilities and discover exciting career pathways. Visiting us in person is the best way for your students to:

  • Explore cutting-edge labs (Electric Vehicle Lab, AI Lab, Optical Interconnection Network and Advanced Computing System Lab, Information Security Lab, etc)
  • Meet current EEE students and hear authentic peer perspectives
  • Get answers to their questions about engineering and university life
  • Understand career opportunities related to EEE
  • Your Custom Visit Includes:

A typical 2-2.5 hour visit is tailored to your students' interests and includes:
(1) EEE PROGRAMME TALK (30 minutes)

  • Overview of BEng Scheme in Electrical Engineering and BEng/BSc Scheme in Information & AI Engineering
  • Key study areas: Electrical Power Systems, Energy Conversion and Utilization, Renewable Energy, AI, IoT, Cybersecurity, Computer and Fibre-optic Application.
  • Admission requirements and JUPAS codes (JS3170, JS3180)
  • Career pathways and graduate outcomes

(2) FACILITIES & LABORATORY TOUR (60 minutes)
  • Student-led tours showcasing real research projects
  • Live demonstrations and interactive experiences
  • Insights into what engineering students actually do

(3) STUDENT INTERACTION and Q&A (30 minutes)
  • Meet current EEE students from your school (if applicable)
  • Ask questions about student life, coursework, internships

 

Ready to Visit?

Please complete the EEE Visit Request Form, and our team will contact you within 5 working days to confirm your preferred date and finalize arrangements.

 

Points to note:

  • Please submit your request at least three weeks in advance for our arrangement. We require this time to arrange for the visit. Any request on short notice will not be entertained.
  • A normal EEE visit will take around 2 to 2.5 hours and can only be scheduled on weekdays.
  • The visit will only be arranged for senior secondary school students (from Secondary 4 to Secondary 6 or equivalent).
  •  A student group size of at least 15 is required, and the maximum number we can handle in one visit is 35.
  • The visit may be cancelled without prior notice in case of adverse weather.
  • PolyU EEE reserves the right to decline any visit request due to venue capacity, staffing, and other limitations.
