We are proud to announce that Dr Mohammed Aquil Mirza, our Senior Lecturer, has been awarded the Teaching Excellence Award at the 5th International Symposium on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence for Education Transformation (ISBDAI 2026) jointly organised by IHERD of PolyU and IETI.
The award recognises Dr Mohammed's outstanding contributions to cross-disciplinary computing education, his innovative application of translational pedagogy, and his dedication to bridging the gap between complex software architectures and diverse student cohorts. His award-winning methodology focuses heavily on fostering student agency and real-world "Output Conversion"—enabling learners to seamlessly deploy advanced computing pipelines into practical applications. These cutting-edge student pipelines span across edge-AI, robotics, telemetry, and advanced medical imaging frameworks.
